xCALIBR ammo upgrade pack v1.4

What is eXcalibr?

xCALIBR is a standardized extention to CALIBR, providing much a needed eye-candy upgrade and enhanced detail. eXcalibr is all about the bullets. xCALIBR ties together many of the fine resources released on the Nexus and integrates them with CALIBR. xCALIBR is primarily a modders resource in that much of the benefits requires GECK to realize.

New in v1.4:

* All vendor lists removed for compatibility. The full range of xCALIBR lists remain for modders to use.
* Upgraded casing for 7.62 and .308
* Brand new RPG model
* 7.62x51mm Nato ammo now has a proper box.
* New ammo boxes now fully animated. Classic 5mm AP ammo crate added. C-Mag now usable as an ammo crate as well.
* Revised ballistics for 40mm grenade. Now with GRAVITY and slower speed for more realistic flight.

Key features are:

Improved world objects:

Far less plain brown boxes for the Calibr ammo. Classic ammo styles for legacy munitions. Appopriate boxes or magazines for other calibers. If you are building an armory mod, you NEED this mod!

Ammo Names:

More descriptive naming where applicable. EditorIDs fully CALIBR compatible. All ammo sorted to top of inventory.

Slugs and shells:

Adds appropriate bullets and shell casings for each ammo type. No more 7.62 shells ejected from your .32 cal rifle.

Projectile data:

Adds comprehensive projectile data for each ammo type. Velocity, range and impact force scale up with cartridge size, roughly aligned with the standards used in Einherjrar's 20th Century Weapon mod.

------------------------------------------------------------
Light P.Cal. (ie; 9mm Makarov):= 11k speed/5.5 impact force
Medium P.Cal. (ie; 9mm Para):=== 13k speed/6.5 impact force
Heavy P.Cal. (ie; .45 ACP):===== 15k speed/7.5 impact force
P.D.W. Cal. (ie; 4.6mm H&K):==== 25k speed/12.5 impact force
Light R.Cal. (ie; 5.56mm NATO):= 30k speed/15 impact force
Medium R.Cal. (ie; .308 NATO):== 40k speed/20 impact force
Heavy R.Cal. (ie; 30.06 NATO):== 50k speed/25 impact force

- Large caliber projectiles enhanced with Toasty's enhanced muzzle flash is incorporated in the large bore munitions. Big bullet, big bang.
- All projectiles have been upgraded to "pass through small invisible" so you can shoot through things like chain link fences.
- Silent Projectile data for each cartridge. Silent projectiles take a 10% hit in velocity, range and impact. They incorporate the suppressed muzzle flash, silent detection and subsonic sound propagation characteristics.

Leveled Lists:

Three standardized leveled lists provided for each cartidge, including 75%, scrounder odds, and loot. Standard vendor lists include pistol ammo, rifle ammo, explosives amd Fallout Classic. Other lists include all ammo and leveled ammo.

Ammo Crates:

Three new Ammo crates available for use:

Classic .223 FMJ crate
Classic 7.62 Nato crate

How do I install eXcalibr?

open the 7z file data folder and unpack the contents into your fallout3\data directory. Position the xCALIBR.ESM immediately after CALIBR.ESM using FOMM and activate. Installation of this mod has not been tested with FOMM package manager so I advise strongly that it not be used.

How do I use eXcalibr?

After installation, ammo boxes will be upgraded by default, but most of changes lie dormant until used. The full benefit of eXcalibr requires use of GECK. Specifically, when you change the ammo type of a weapon, you can now also select the appropriate projectile and shell casings. When building a cell, you can now populate it with a huge assortment of identifiable ammunition types.

Leveled list are for use by modders to distribute ammo with reduced conflict. Individual players can also use the lists increase the availability of thier favorite ammo.

Known Issues:

 - xCalibr should be fully compatible with any mod that uses CALIBR as a master.
 - xCalibr is primarily an "eye-candy" mod. No attempt at "realism" has been made. FO3 makes a poor platform for a real world ballistics simulator.
 - This initial released reflects my personal playing style. Ammo is sorted to the top of your inventory and all tracers are active. I will release an unsorted ESM when all the bugs have been worked out. Tracers IMHO are consistant with the design goal of eye-candy. If there is enough interest, I will look into doing tracer-free version as well.
 - xCalibr is about 75% complete. Not all ammo have ideal shell casings or nice world models. If you can't find the appropriate shell casing for your load, select one of approximately the same size. Any modders that have world models they would like incorporated, I am eager to hear from you.
 - No laser ammo changed. This is all about bullets. 2mmEC is include because its a classic and not part of vanilla FO3.
 - xCALIBR is an extention of CALIBR so it does not and will not add additional ammo.
